SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern your use of the text messaging program operated by GPS Electric ("we", "our", or "us"). By texting our business number, calling our published business line, or providing your mobile number to us, you agree to these SMS Terms.

Program Summary: GPS Electric uses SMS to coordinate electrical service requests, schedule appointments, dispatch technicians for emergencies, and respond to customer questions in San Antonio, Texas.

1. Program Description

The GPS Electric SMS program is a customer-care / transactional messaging service. We use SMS to:

  • Acknowledge service requests received by phone or text.
  • Collect details needed to dispatch a technician (name, address, service type, photos).
  • Confirm appointment dates and arrival windows.
  • Alert customers about technician status (on the way, arrived, delayed).
  • Send emergency dispatch confirmations for hazardous electrical situations.
  • Reply to customer follow-up questions related to an active service.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising SMS messages.

2. How You Opt In

You opt in to receive SMS messages from GPS Electric in any of the following ways:

  • You text our business number +1 (210) 774-6468 with a service request.
  • You call our main business line at +1 (210) 790-5194; if no agent is available, the call is routed to our automated assistant, which discloses (by voice) that an SMS will be sent so we can help you faster. By remaining on the line after that disclosure, you opt in to receive a single follow-up SMS.
  • You provide your phone number on our contact form at gpselectric.com with the intent of requesting service.

Your initial SMS from us is the start of the conversation. You may reply to continue or reply STOP at any time to opt out.

3. Sample Messages

Examples of messages you may receive from GPS Electric:

"Hi! Welcome to GPS Electric. Is this for residential or commercial service? Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
"Got it. To send a technician, can you share your name and service address?"
"Thanks John. We've scheduled a tech for tomorrow 9-11 AM at 1234 Main St. Reply C to confirm."
"EMERGENCY received. Please do not touch the panel. A technician is being dispatched. ETA 30 minutes."
"Hola, soy el asistente de GPS Electric. ¿El servicio es residencial o comercial? Responde HELP para ayuda, STOP para cancelar."

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your service request. Typical conversations involve 5 to 15 SMS messages from us during the lifecycle of a service ticket. You will not receive recurring messages outside the context of an active service request.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier apply to all SMS sent and received. GPS Electric does not charge a separate fee for SMS messages. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

6. Supported Carriers

The GPS Electric SMS program is compatible with major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, and Google Voice. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. How to Get HELP

At any time, reply HELP to any of our SMS messages. You will receive a reply with our contact information and instructions for assistance. You may also call us directly at +1 (210) 790-5194.

8. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out of GPS Electric SMS messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:

  • STOP
  • STOPALL
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • CANCEL
  • END
  • QUIT
  • OPTOUT
  • REVOKE

After replying STOP, you will receive a confirmation message:

"You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."

To opt back in, reply START.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through SMS is used solely for service coordination and is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Disclaimer

SMS service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. GPS Electric makes no warranty regarding the reliability of SMS delivery. Delays or failures in delivery may occur due to factors outside our control, including carrier network issues. For urgent matters or true emergencies, always call us directly at +1 (210) 790-5194 or call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
